- Marketing concept l 6-Pack Ground Covers

With the six-pack ground cover plants from De Jong Tuinplanten, nature gets a helping hand. These low-growing plants provide cooling in the summer and protect the soil from frost in the winter. This means the soil stays hydrated in the summer and soil life remains healthy and vibrant. The flowers attract butterflies and bees, which in turn aid in pollination. Weeds also have less chance to grow because the plants grow and cover the ground quickly. Thanks to the handy six-pack, customers can pick up these handy packs straight from the table at the Garden Centre and take them home with ease.

About the Grower
De Jong Tuinplanten is a true family business from the province of North Brabant. With their roots in Hazerswoude, the company has now been established in Made for over 20 years. Their specialism lies in the cultivation of more than 50 different ground covering, hardy garden plants which they offer year-round.
In recent years the company has made great strides. The nursery has been preserved and the six-pack tray has been completely renewed. Piet de Jong and Michael Bakx have taken over the nursery permanently. They took over nursery Easy Grow last year, which means that the Hedera plants in 9cm are now also in the assortment, along with the 6cm plugs for the arrangement industry.
The nursery and all the processes around it are Pete's responsibility. Michael takes care of all orders and transportation matters, scanning the plants and also managing the staff.
Sustainability
There is a lot of focus on sustainability within the company. All plants are grown environmentally friendly (MPS A status) and are packaged in sturdy PP 100% recycled trays. The latest carrier labels feature the MPS followyourflowerorplant vignette with the MPS registration number. The recognizable, drop-shaped carrier labels also feature a QR code with additional plant information.
